Patricia Moran
JUST RELEASED and featured in Patricia's first book - WHITE CLASSIC is a timeless painting which will grace any home modern or classical.

Author, tutor and internationally successful artist, Patricia’s paintings have to be on the 'bucket list' to own.

Patricia Moran knew she loved paintings and that’s about all! Totally absorbed in her quest to paint, she began her journey to artistic excellence through trial and error. But that was then! She went on to write and teach her skills. In 1982 she won the Alice Bale Overseas Study Scholarship and in 1985 was asked by the Victorian Artists Society to give a six-week workshop, which continued for many years. Patricia has been the recipient of many awards over the years.

Patricia has filmed her own DVD’s “Learn Classic Oil Painting with Patricia Moran” collection. Parts 5 & 6 (People, Plums and Places) of this series will be available mid 2012.
The entire series parts 1 - 6 of Learn Classic Oil Painting will also be released mid 2012 - "The Complete Collection" in a 3 CD set.

To say that Patricia Moran paints flowers is an understatement akin to saying music is what happens if you pluck a guitar string. Patricia Moran’s paintings are the full symphony orchestra. They are generous in size and concept, gracious and enriching to behold. They are every joy and delight an interior still life can hold, speaking in mellow tones of all that is good in life, of abundance, of beauty. From ‘country-style’ to the ‘manner born’, Patricia’s paintings show apparent casual collections of exquisite drapery, pottery, porcelain and masses of flowers in informal groupings. She is able to impart a sense of bounty; of great beauty waiting to be ‘arranged’, looking perfect is its casual disarray.

Patricia Moran paints strictly according to her own impeccable, ethical standards. ‘Painting flowers’ or ‘Flowerscapes’ to her may mean planning up to a year ahead, planting particular colour combinations of certain blooms, finding a special piece of fine china for a once only use. It means beginning to paint only when everything is as she wants, then painting the flowers exactly as she sees them without stopping so that se can capture their ‘truth’ before they wilt. It is marathon work.

Her work is timeless, elegant and beyond fashion. It is beautiful forever.
